New Jersey Mandatory Posting Updates

  • 01/2024 - Wage and Hour Law Abstract - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated their Wage and Hour Law Abstract notice. The updated notice reflects an adjustment of the state minimum wage rate to $15.13/hour for most employers, $13.73/hour for seasonal and small employers (fewer than 6 employees), $12.81/hour for agricultural employers, $5.26/hour cash wage for tipped workers, and $18.13/hour for long-term care facility direct care staff members, effective January 1, 2024.
  • 05/2023 - Safe Act - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated their Safe Act notice. The updated notice reflects that eligible family members now include a parent-in-law, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, any individual related by blood, or any other individual with a close association equivalent of a family relationship. This notice is required for New Jersey employers with 25+ employees. The poster revision date is May 5, 2023.
  • 03/2023 - Wage and Hour Law Abstract - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated their Wage and Hour Law Abstract. The updated notice reflects corrections to the 2024 state minimum wage increases as well as the removal of the future minimum wage increases for 2025-2027. The poster revision date is March 21, 2023.
  • 03/2023 - Child Labor Law Abstract - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated their Child Labor Law Abstract notice. The updated notice reflects that working hours for minors have been expanded. In addition, during summer vacation, employees who are 16 or 17 years old may now not work more than 10 hours per day or 50 hours per week. The poster revision date is March 21, 2023.

  • 01/2019 - Earned Sick Leave - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has updated their Earned Sick Pay notice. The notice reflects a correction of the department website. The poster revision date is January 09, 2019.
  • 04/2018 - New Jersey Employer Obligation to Maintain and Report Records - The NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance has updated their New Jersey State Wage and Hour Law Abstract posting. Effective January 1st, 2018, the minimum wage in New Jersey will increase to $8.60 per hour. A new January 2018 revision date has been added to the posting.
